The LAPSSET Corridor Development Authority (LCDA) is currently open to receiving investment
proposals from interested companies or consortia seeking to invest in the LAPSSET Corridor. In
order to facilitate the process of these Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), the Authority requests
that the private entities provide a proposal document for the project(s) of their choice containing the following information:
- Company Profile
- Profiles of Key personnel
- List of previous similar works undertaken with dates and time taken to implement.
- Value of previous works undertaken (Individually and collectively).
- Company turnover.
- The expected value of the proposed investment
- The expected time-frame for implementation of the proposed investment
- Model of investment (Build-Operate-Transfer, Build –Operate –Own etc.)
- Expected time frame for return on investment.
- Description of the proposed investment. This should include specifications and advantages/improvements over other methods currently in use.
- Corporate Social Responsibility activities that will be undertaken during the term of the implementation (e.g. Training, Free Services, intermediary facilities etc.)
Interested parties are requested to kindly note that:
- PPP requirements stipulate that any project proposal should relate to specific projects with both technical and financial analysis undertaken at the proponent’s cost;
- There is need for proof of funding availability from the identified financiers upon submission of your proposal;
- There will be no consideration of any exclusivity and/or guarantees, and no framework outside the PPP framework will be applicable for any project proposal; and
- The time frame for submission of the project proposal will be left open to the project proponent but proposals will be reviewed for submission to the PPP Committee on a first come, first served basis.









Aside from the Privately Initiated Investment Proposals (PIIPs). The LAPSSET Corridor will be opening up 70% of the Kenya for economic activities as well as connecting her to her neighbors Ethiopia and South Sudan for Trade. This means that the opportunity for private investment and business will be immense across the three countries, and therefore the LAPSSET Corridor Development Authority encourages both local and foreign investors to move into the corridor and take advantage of these opportunities.
